Step into the wonderful world of the Mosopisiek, the once forest dwellers of Mount Elgon who carry the genes of several Olympic running champions. Over three days and two nights, you’ll hike through remote farmlands & villages, enjoy amazing valley & mountain views and engage with the hospitable & healthy lifestyle of this welcoming Community. Cultural experiences, such as elder storytelling and bamboo basket weaving, make this a cultural encounter hard to forget. Our experienced guide, storyteller & Community leader David, ensure your trekking adventure is safe and meaningful. Expect between 12 and 15 kilometers of hiking a day, on moderate to difficult trails. Your homestay is hospitable with tasty (and largely vegetarian) local food, but don't expect any luxury in terms of sleeping and showering. Warm blankets and warm water are provided though!
