Bafumbira cultural experience

About this Experience

Bafumbira is one of the tribes in South Western Uganda. They have their unique culture which tourists love exploring. When you do this experience, you learn how Bafumbira used to do things in traditional as in relation to today's world. The tourists participate in making baskets, weaving mats, prepare local foods with the local people, traditional or cultural entertainments. The other most interesting part is traditional marriage. Here, two tourists are requested to volunteer to get married traditionally just for the purpose of learning. They learn how the courtship used to be, the honeymoon, dowery negotiations and other traditional celebrations
